The site is about the art of technical analysis. Trading proficiency through education and instruction is the goal. The information given here is for that purpose and should not be considered a recommendation to buy or sell a stock. Trading plans and risk tolerances vary and this site is designed to be a supplement to, not a substitute for, individual due diligence.
My name is Rob Moreno and I am a former member of the New York Cotton Exchange and the New York Board of Trade and have been managing my own account for over twenty five years. I am a regular contributor to RealMoneyPro, a subscription site of TheStreet.com, and a member of the Market Technicians Association.
These are my basic tenents for traders: those who are just starting out – read and acquire a working understanding of the principles of technical analysis, then begin trading small positions; intermediate level traders who have done the research and read the books – re-read the chapters you skimmed over on money management, it is the key to trading longevity; and seasoned traders – block out the noise and trust your charts.
My hope is that you incorporate what you find helpful here into a well constructed trading plan which includes stop loss levels that preserve capital. The longer you remain in the game the more opportunity to acquire the skills that will make you a successful trader.
Comments and constructive feedback are welcome and/or your technical take on stocks and situations you think should be highlighted on the site.
